Former President, Goodluck Jonathan, on Wednesday gave reasons why he visited President Muhammadu Buahri at the Presidential villa, Abuja.
Jonathan who earlier met with President behind closed doors at the villa, said the meeting afforded him the opportunity to brief the President on his recent international engagement and those in the future.
Jonathan disclosed this while addressing State House Correspondents after the meeting which lasted for 20 minutes.
He however, refused to answer questions on the current administration’s anti-corruption war.
On the renewed violence in the Niger Delta, Jonathan said it was appropriate for him and traditional rulers in the area to mediate in the matter.
